STEAM Lego Club is offered for four different levels over three different eight-week sessions (Fall, Winter and Spring). Classes are held at Village Elementary.

K – meets on Thursdays from 2:25PM -3:55PM. Classes introduce weekly innovative and creative challenges using Lego Simple Machine kits and other tools focused on basic engineering, science, math and art concepts. Taught by Lenise Romberger

1st – meets on Tuesdays from 2:20PM-3:50PM. By incorporating engineering, mechanics, team work and project-based activities students learn to collaborate, communicate, problem solve and think creatively to complete weekly challenges. Taught by Lenise Romberger

2nd/3rd – meets on Tuesdays from 2:20PM-3:50PM. Introduces basic programming of mechanical machines and sensors using primarily Lego WeDo kits and software. Students build and learn to program their creations incorporating movement, sound and sensors. New challenges are assigned to students who enroll in successive sessions. Taught by Abby Lund

4th/5th – meets on Wednesdays from 1:40PM-3:10PM. Students work in teams of two to build and program a Lego Mindstorms EV3 robot using its’ four sensors (touch, ultrasonic, color and gyro). Teams program their EV3 robot to progress through a series of increasingly complex challenges. Introductory club Fall & Winter sessions, Intermediate club Spring session. Taught by Abby Lund

Winter Session: January 15 – March 7 (registration opens October 17th)

Spring Session: March 19 – May 16 (registration opens February 11th)

Club fee: $170 for 8-week session. $10 sibling discount.
